Domination Reloaded
Presentation
Domination Reloaded is a little gametype for UT3.
As every new Unreal Tournament series game was published, we have seen some official gametypes appear and others disappear.
Rather than redo one of these missing gametype to the identical (something that will surely be made by other dev-teams), I preferred to create
a new one based on several of them.
So Domination Reloaded is a mod combining the concept of Classic Domination (UT99) and some points of Bombing Run
(UT2003/UT2004).
Principle
This mod is played on teams. In every map, there is a number of nodes, and one or more on which ones an orb appears. The goal is to fetch
an orb and bring it to a node to capture it.
Each node gives a point every four seconds to the team that captured it.
When a player picks up an orb, a new weapon is given to him: the orb launcher. As long as he holds an orb, the player is forced to keep
this weapon which, as its name suggests, just allows to throw the orb (one can therefore consider passing the orb to other teammates).
Its primary fire throws the orb at an average speed, while the secondary fire allows to charge the launcher up and then throw the orb with
more or less speed.
Once a player has touched a node with an orb, it is brought back to its spawn point and the node is captured. If an orb carrier is killed,
he drops it and another player can take it.
